InTime Joins Cadence Connections Program
Offers Tight Integration with Cadence Synthesis and Physical Design Flows
CUPERTINO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 3, 2002--InTime
Software(TM) today announced that it has become a member of the
Cadence Connections® Program, a third-party software program offered
by Cadence Design Systems, Inc. (NYSE:CDN - news).
The membership will allow a tight level of interoperability
between Cadence® and InTime electronic design automation (EDA)
products. The new relationship between the two companies will ensure
that customers of Cadence and InTime will have integrated design flows
for the most complex ASIC, ASSP and SoC designs.
InTime Software offers EDA solutions that accelerate the IC design
process into synthesis and physical design tools. The InTime product
suite enables design teams to manage the design process of the most
complex ICs, achieve design closure earlier and get product to market
faster. The collaboration with Cadence will enable Cadence and InTime
customers to enhance existing flows using Cadence's back-end synthesis
and place and route products including Silicon Ensemble(TM), PKS(TM)
and the new Cadence SoC Encounter and First Encounter(TM) Ultra.
InTime delivers a hierarchy of floorplanners that manage timing
control and capacity on deep submicron circuits of 0.18 micron and
below. The company's solutions start at the conceptual architectural
level (pre-RTL), pass information to RTL design teams and into their
RTL planning system and then the information is leveraged by InTime's
gate-level floorplanner. At each stage a physical floorplan is
generated that constrains the design at the next level down, making it
possible for the most complex designs to fit into the operating range
of third party synthesis and P& R (place and route) tools. This
approach enables a meaningful and streamlined collaboration among
designers addressing design development from concept, to RTL, to
gates.
About Cadence Connections Program
Cadence provides members of its Connections Program with access to
software and application notes, enabling tight tool interoperability
with third-party software. The program permits tool integration in the
areas of analog/mixed-signal, integrated circuit, board design, and
logic verification. More information about the Connections Program may
be obtained at www.connectionsprogram.com.
About InTime
InTime Software develops EDA solutions that use floorplanning
techniques to achieve early timing closure for complex ASIC, SoC, and
ASSP designs before synthesis and place and route tools are run. The
products provide designers insight into timing, area and layout at the
pre-RTL, RTL and gate level and improve the design flow into 3rd party
synthesis and physical design systems.
InTime is headquartered at 10131 Bubb Road, Cupertino, CA, 95014.
The company has sales and support offices in Silicon Valley, Austin
and Boston. InTime products are distributed in Japan through Innotech
Corp., in Taiwan through Maojet, and in Korea through I&C
Technologies. For more information please call 408-565-0111 or visit
